Planning Unit rebranded all digital and marketing materials to reflect a new chapter for the company.

Following the acquisition of a VFX studio as well as expansion into the US, the newly created Freefolk; a collective of creative artists, technicians, producers and problem solvers needed a complete rebrand of their full service post-production house.

Freefolk inject magic into raw footage enhancing the visual impact of Commercials, Film & TV, making the unbelievable believable so the viewer never questions “how it was done”. They wanted the new brand to represent their independent spirit and we wanted to somehow encapsulate the process that happens behind the scenes.

Four cubes that play with negative and positive space form a FF pixel icon. Each cube represents the finished product/film/advert; the final outcome of the post-production process. The drop shadow behind each cube epitomises Freefolk itself, placing a strong visual emphasis on the magic that happens behind the scenes; essentially the very essence of their business.

The redesign of the new responsive website, in the same vein, was to create a simple to navigate platform again placing emphasis on showcasing the great portfolio of work whilst providing an insight into the processes that take place in order for Freefolk to present the finished article.
