Planning Unit has worked with James Payne and Joanne Shurvell on their contemporary art gallery PayneShurvell since its inception in 2010.
We have worked to create a strong typographic voice to be used across its range of promotional materials; everything from PayneShurvell’s branding to each exhibition they have had. Creating a bold typographic language, we have formed a bold and strong identity for the gallery. It has given them flexibility, but also importantly visual consistency.
Up until 2013, PayneShurvell had a permanent gallery just off of Curtain Road in Shoreditch. Due to its success, they outgrew the space and now have exhibitions in various venues across London, for which Planning Unit still produces all the invites and promotional materials.
