Planning Unit’s relationship with Knoll holds particular significance and sentiment, as Nick’s grandfather is known to have introduced the brand to Europe and the UK. Working with a client such as Knoll, invites the opportunity for us to apply our creativity in the broadest of approaches.
We are delighted to be working with a brand that sits with 30 products in the design collection of the Museum of Modern Art in New York City.
Some of Knoll’s past challenges have been to unify its furniture pieces with the brand. Chairs such as the Bertoia, Barcelona and Tulip have developed identities of their own. So in response, we have worked to ensure the logo is always clearly associated with the product.
Knoll is considered a world leader for product design, therefore in all the work that we do with them, we make it our sole mission to ensure that we preserve the heritage. Our design applies the lightest touch; making use of their already established brand ingredients.
